Clobazam 5mg Tablets – Clobazam, a division of medicines known as benzodiazepines, is used in the treatment of seizures, epileptic disease, and severe anxiety. This medication is highly recommended by doctors to patients with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome; a disorder that causes seizures and developmental interruptions. It is available with the brand name ERICLOB-5 at Eridanus Healthcare.

Clobazam works by intensifying the effects of a certain natural chemical in the body called Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid (GABA); an inhibitory neurotransmitter that restricts or inhibits certain brain signals and reduces activity in the nervous system. It balances the stirring activities of the brain which prohibits the occurrence of seizures. This tablet is also used with other medications to treat seizures caused by Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome in adults and children above 2 years. This medication also contains muscle-relaxing potencies as it relaxes the muscles that solidify during a seizure.

Take this medicine once or twice a day with food, under the guidance of a doctor. Do not stop taking this medication in the middle of the stipulated period as it may withdraw symptoms such as restlessness, lack of sleep, headache, hallucinations, etc. As per the reports, it has been advised to avoid alcohol during the consumption period of Clobazam tablets as it may increase drowsiness and dizziness.
