Lamotrigine is used in the treatment of epilepsy, bipolar disorder, and controls seizures. It belongs to the class of drugs called anti-epileptic medication.   • Medicines used to prevent pregnancy (Ex. ethinylestradiol, levonorgestrel)
  • Rifampin (used for bacterial infections like tuberculosis)

Precautions and Warnings

1. Avoid consuming alcohol if you are taking Lamotrigine tablets as it may cause increased dizziness and drowsiness.

2. The medicine is not suitable to be used by the children. Do not use it in children (under 2 years of age).

3. Do not take the medicine without a doctor’s consultation if you are pregnant or breastfeeding your newborn.

4. Store the tablets in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.
