Description

Propranolol belongs to a group of medications called beta-blockers. It is taken or in combination with other medicines to treat a variety of diseases such as high blood pressure (hypertension), heart-related chest pain (angina), and heart rhythm disorder (arrhythmia), and prevent symptoms of migraine headache and tremors (fits). The active ingredient Propranolol relaxes our blood vessels by blocking the action of certain natural substances in the body. This lowers blood pressure and decreases the chances of getting a stroke, a heart attack, other heart problems, or kidney problems in the future.

Take the medicine as per the dosage and duration prescribed by the doctor. Do not crush, chew or break the tablets. Swallow it whole with water. You can take the tablets orally, with or without food, or as prescribed by your physician. You may observe a few common side effects such as feeling dizzy or exhausted, cold hands or feet, difficulty sleeping, and nightmares. Mostly the side effects are short-lived and get resolved over time. If the side effects persist or get severe, immediately consult your doctor.
